To the weiner go the spoils: FestivALL race brings dog competition not found at Tri-State

Participants with sleek bodies, floppy ears and stubby legs arepreparing for competition.

Wiener Dog Races will be part of this year's FestivALL, thecitywide arts festival. They'll be skittering, flopping and pantingtheir way to the finish line during the Good Old Summer Time IceCream Social and Songfest.

It's no Indianapolis 500. It's no Kentucky Derby. But it's sure tothrill - or at least to make spectators grin.

The participating dachshunds will scamper to see which one canmake the best time along a 50-foot track.
